Monthly Meetings

The Bromeliad Society of San Francisco meets every third Thursday of the month at the San Francisco County Fair Building (1199 9th Ave, San Francisco) in the Recreation Room.

What to Expect

Expert Presentations: Hear from visiting botanists, plant explorers, and experienced club members as they share field expeditions to wild habitats, or offer deep dives into bromeliad taxonomy, cultivation, and hybridization.

Show & Tell: Explore tables packed with stunning, blooming bromeliads grown by our members in local Bay Area greenhouses and outdoor gardens.

Plant Raffle: Wrap up the evening with our popular raffle for a chance to take home a new addition to your collection.

Note: Tours and field trips to local nurseries and greenhouses will occur during the year and not at the regular meeting location. Society members will receive advance notification via email of any change to our monthly meeting location to plan accordingly.
