Bromeliad Society of San Francisco is entirely run by passionate plant lovers just like you! Volunteering is one of the best ways to connect with fellow members, share cultivation tips, and support the local bromeliad community.
Whether you want to help steer the society’s future behind the scenes or jump in for a single afternoon at our big events, we have a spot for you.
Annual Fundraiser Coordinator (June Sale & Display)
- Coordinate members selling at June Sale
- Liaison to San Francisco Succulent & Cactus Society for planning June Sale
- Keep and provide table cloths for June Sale and other sales
- Keep and order new barcode labels for June Sale
- Recruit judges to determine prizes for display plants
- Keep and provide Award Ribbons, order new ones if necessary
- Provide Judges Sheets used at June Sale (templates available)
- Keep track of the winners so Treasurer can pay their awards
Holiday Potluck Coordinator (December)
- Help with organizing the event
- Keep up with RSVP list
- Provide member list with notes for MC at event
- Prepare the turkey
- Ensure ham purchase
- Important: Make sure the room is available early for setup and this year we will need a bigger room!
